Hi Guys,
The other day I wrote a quick page on WordPress Express and how easy it is to install over at Wealthy Affiliate University
Let me talk to you today about the WA Blog and Funnel tool which is relatively new at WA. Do you see this entire website which you are reading? Do you notice the opt in form, do you notice the mad marketing course and my review? I should be careful what I say here, but that was all done for me at the drop of a hat.
Yep, all I had to do was put in my affiliate links, my aweber username and a few other bits and pieces, and the entire site was built from scratch at the click of a button.
Let me guide you through the WA Blog and Funnel Process, and how I went about creating this site. Unfortunately I can show you a snapshot of each page as I have used my quota of 5 WA blog and funnel websites (www.wauniversityblog.com, www.wa-university-blog.com, www.blogtomakecash.com, www.thewauniversityblog.com and www.wauniversity-blog.com) and they wouldnt let me run through another setup process.
But guess what, I reckon it took me about 20 minutes to create 5 very high quality websites, in fact you are reading one of them right now!
The setup process goes like this, and takes maybe 5 minutes per wwebsite tops:
1. By domain name from from www.GoDaddy.com. Unfortunately they do not let you use .info domains so I think I ended up spending about $35 US buying all 5 domains using discount voucher codes
2. Click on get started on the WA Blog and Funnel tab
3. Enter domain name (for this particular site it was www.wauniversityblog.com)
4. Enter aweber username (you will get paid if people join up aweber using your affiliate link)
5. Enter Clickbank username (you will get paid if people join up clickbank using your affiliate link)
6. Add your hostgator username (you will get paid if people join up clickbank using your affiliate link)
7. Add the link name for madmarketingmethod which can be anything you want (this is the free e-course offered which is already built in)
8. Upload a photo of yourself (this is automatically integrated into your website)
9. Point to the WA hosting DNS servers over at Go Daddy.
10. Click create
Thats it folks, its as simple as that. You then receive a confirmation page which has the following:
As you can see you are then given some specialised blog training as well as a follow up series of emails which you need to add to you aweber list (btw you have to join aweber which costs $19 per month which is kind of expensive but you will use aweber for many years to come – its essential for any internet marketer. Lists are gold!)
It wouldnt be right of me to not talk about the negatives though:
- Duplicate content: Yep, there are MANY members at WA University. And a high percentage of them will probably have their own WA blog and Funnel website. Your site will not get any visitors or people joining your lists if you do notmake an effort to update your blog consistently. This includes personalising ‘about’ pages, adding new pages and writing relevent content to your blog. Its never, and I repeat never going to make you any money unless you get up from your butt and makean effort.
- There were a number of glitches to the system, and it took me a few goes for my website to be created. But I think I was one of the first to do this over at WA. Its very new – how else would I have been able to swipe what I think is the best domain name! www.wauniversityblog.com!
- As of today, the hosting at WA is pretty crap from my experience. Plesk is very frustrating and I still cant seem to update my blog and add google analytics. This is bad news, however I have recently learnt that WA is now updating their hosting package. Thats a relief.
Anyway guys, I gottas dash. I hope you enjoyed this little review. I am pretty excited by the tool – let me know what you think. As always, comments are appreciated!
Signing off for now,
D-dubbs.
